I first got on the web back in 1995. Thanks to the massive internet
overexposure I've had since then, I've had a lot of opportunities over the
years to put together web sites. Some came to fruition through
alcohol-induced creativity. Others actually continue to serve a useful
purpose. And some came into existence simply because I thought it would be
interesting. I'll leave it to you to figure out which sites belong to which
categories.

Irreverent Smurfs (Or How I Helped Eliminate My Own Job) |
This collection of websites started with the
humorous premise that my former employer, OnMoney.com, was being run by
those fun-loving blue-skinned creatures, the Smurfs.
The first site,
created by some coworkers (who shall go nameless for their protection) and
me, was intended to be a fun-for-all parody of the highly distinctive
personalities we had the pleasure to work with. You can just imagine the
hijinx that ensued once word got out. |

The Chronicles of SamuRon |
Diablo, the award-winning RPG from
Blizzard,
was the first game I played online that had multi-player capabilities. With
up to four players in a game at a time (revolutionary for 1998), and up to
30 in the chat rooms, I found myself constantly playing with a core group of
online pals (many of whom I still game with today). The Chronicles feature a
lot of funny screen captures of SamuRon, as I was known online, and my
gaming friends.

While I
had a choice, I used OS/2 Warp exclusively as my desktop operating system.
Here's why. (Personal Note: This site is really primitive, but please
consider that it was created way back in 1996 using the trusty old OS/2
Notepad!)

Warped World!
An
offshoot of Ron's Warped World, I started the Warped WebRing to promote the
best OS/2 Warp-related websites on the internet. At the height of OS/2's
consumer popularity, the ring had over 125 sites. Today, thanks to the good
people at WebRing, the Warped WebRing is self-managing. Many sites are still
active, and the ring still generates hundreds of hits each week.
