 Having
made a custom of Deadpool, I knew I would some day have to make him a
scooter like the one he rode in Deadpool #68. New Ray, the makers
of those relatively inexpensive die-cast cars and motorcycles you can
find at Kaybee Toys, made it easy for me.
Some stickers and
scissors, and it was done. While it's not an identical match for the scooter
in the comic, I'm pretty happy with it. |
 I
first did extensive research on the scooter by reading Gail Simone's
run on Deadpool and Agent X over and over. Sure, the scooter only
appears briefly in DP #68, but them sure is good readin'.
After
that, I spent a little time in Photoshop recreating the bumper
stickers. I'm useless with the printer we have here - it's hooked
up to a Mac. So my wife took my file and printed the bumper
stickers out on both white and clear mailing labels.
She's a little peeved at me because she did the white first. I asked
her to redo them in clear, because I knew I wouldn't be too precise
with cutting out things this small. But what I didn't realize is
that color printers don't actually print white - so the clear stickers
were showing through red on most of them. I ended up using the
first ones she printed.
If you want to make one of these yourself, feel free to download the bumper stickers I made. Just don't expect me to ask my wife for help if you can't get them printed out.
