I will yet have my way -- in all things.  Asgard shall be mine, and who knows, perhaps a Queen.  Until then, fair Ororo... this shall be a sweet thing to remember thee by.

-- Loki, at the end of the Asgardian Wars

I've always been enamored of Art Adams' rendering of Ororo in the Asgardian Wars.  With this custom figure, I hoped to create something sweet to remember it by.

What do you do when you have left-over helmet wings from a Marvel Legends Thor (my base for Captain Britain)?  Make an Asgardian Wars Ororo, of course!

Ororo was only decked out in this costume for part of the special cross-over between the Uncanny X-Men and the New Mutants.  However, one panel in that story inspired me to try to recreate it -- holding my custom attempts in my hands always reminds me of Loki clutching his Ororo figure.

This custom was a lot of fun to make.  ML Elektra's head pops off pretty easily, and her hair comes off with a little prying.  Her head in particular is really fragile, as that's just Super Sculpey for her mohawk (which I broke off in the back once), with super glue holding the wings in place.  If I was smarter about it I would have perhaps drilled into her head for more support there.

Her cape comes from an extra ML Magneto, and the cape fasteners and her necklace are hobby wire.  I was in a real quandary for how to do the straps on her corset.  Thanks to Doubledealer (who solved this quite beautifully with his Hellfire Club White Queen), I ended up using toothpaste tube, which I already used for her front flap (what do you call these things?).
